Chris Bird, CFP, EA, GRI
Chris Bird has been in the financial business for more than 30 years. He started with a degree in accounting and a minor in business administration. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP) and Enrolled Agent status with the IRS.
Bird became an IRS agent in 1970 and continued until 1986. He began conducting courses and started his own company, Chris Bird Seminars, Inc. Bird conducted more than 125 seminars a year on accounting, financial planning, wealth building, residential rental-property ownership and tax strategies for the real estate and financial industries. He has presented his widely acclaimed courses multiple times at NAR conventions and most recently presented at Howard Brinton’s StarPower™ Conference in New York.
Bird is an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois in tax law. He is a GRI senior instructor in five states and is a senior instructor for the Realtors® Land Institute. He currently holds his real estate license in St. Cloud, Minn.
Bird lives with his wife, Kay, in Champaign-Urbana, Ill.
