Jim Garrison

Jim Garrison has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1984, earning a position in the 100 percent club for RE/MAX five years in a row. Garrison has been a mortgage originator since moving to Charlotte in 1993.

Garrison wrote his first North Carolina-approved CE class on creative financing in 1995. Since then, he has also developed and instructed many training classes for Realtors®, new and experienced loan officers, and financial planners. Garrison’s CE courses on mortgage finance have been enjoyed by more than 2,500 North Carolina real estate licensees.

Garrison has appeared three times for the Home Builder’s Association of Charlotte (HBAC) and has presented at the North Carolina Home Builder’s Association 21st Century Building Expo & Conference. He also has been part of CRRA’s Speaker Series. Garrison’s “Mortgage Matters” column has been featured monthly in the “Properties of Charlotte” section of the Charlotte Observer, and has also appeared in the Charlotte Business Journal, Broker Agent magazine, Today’s Custom Home and the New Home Journal.

Garrison has sold new and resale homes, and originated the mortgages for them, which gives him a unique perspective of what it takes for Realtors®, builders and lenders to succeed.
