Mark Given, ABR, CRS, GREEN, GRI, SRES

Mark Given is honored to be a senior instructor for The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS), and to hold the ABR, Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES) and NAR Green designations. He is also a Ninja Master Instructor and is a GRI instructor for many states. Given wrote a number of national courses, including the recent CRS one-day Going Green course. He has served as a keynote speaker for private companies and state conventions, the NAR Convention, and the NAR Mid-year meetings. He is a practicing Realtor® with Wilkie Real Estate, Inc in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

Given has twice served as president of the Roanoke Valley Lake Gaston Board of Realtors® and was selected as its 2006 Realtor® of the Year. He served three years as a dean for the N.C. Real Estate Education Foundation (NCREEF) and was in the 2004 class of LeadershipNCAR. Given just completed a three-year term as a member of the NCAR Finance Committee and currently serves on the NAR Professional Development Committee. 

Before his real estate career, Given spent 20 years as CEO of a multistate retail sales and rental company, and was a frequent trainer at regional and national conventions on sales and marketing techniques/exceptional customer service.

On many weekends, Given performs with his five children in their musical group GivenTake. They can occasionally be heard on oldies and beach-music radio stations from Pennsylvania to Florida.
