NAR's Green Designation

Jump-start your real estate practice with the only green designation recognized by NAR.

Earn the designation that gives you the edge.

With NAR’s Green Designation program, you’ll gain in-depth education on green real estate principles and practices; access new markets; increase your customer base; get help with referrals and prospecting; and receive ongoing marketing support. You will have the answers to some of the most pivotal questions in today’s real estate market.

To earn NAR’s Green Designation, students must successfully complete the Core Course and one of three elective courses. Elective courses are Green Residential Real Estate, Green Commercial Real Estate and Green Property Management.

NAR’s Green Designation is supported by the NAR Green Resource Council. Students who complete the Core Course receive a one-year membership in NAR’s Green Resource Council.
